Triumph

I
am
invincible

I walk across the street
hoping a car will hit me
so I can watch it crumple.

I gaze into the eyes of death
I have to laugh
he looks so sad.

I watch as around me
cities crumple to the ground
I scream my triumph.

Then I turn to see a small child
Beautiful, innocent, wise
I crumple, sobbing, at her feet.

I
am
invincible.
